Terms of service

The usual legal stuff, kept short. By using PostMint, you agree to these terms.

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using the PostMint iOS app ("PostMint," the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use PostMint.

2. Description of service

PostMint is an iPhone app that generates social media captions from photos you provide, using an artificial intelligence service operated by a third party (AIML API). You select one to three photos, optionally provide a hint, choose a target platform, and PostMint returns three caption suggestions for your review.

3. Subscription terms

Free tier

PostMint includes a free tier that allows three caption generations per rolling 30-day window, with one photo per post, one platform per generation, and the four default tones from onboarding. The free tier does not require a credit card, an account, or any personally identifying information.

Pro subscriptions

  • Pro Weekly — US $4.99 per week, billed weekly through Apple until cancelled. Unlocks unlimited caption generations, up to three photos per post, all seven supported platforms in one Generate, the full tone library, and the extended Pro toolset (music suggestions, first-comment hooks, best-time-to-post).
  • Pro Monthly — US $12.99 per month, billed monthly through Apple until cancelled. Same Pro feature set as Pro Weekly with a month-by-month commitment.
  • Pro Annual — US $34.99 per year, billed annually through Apple until cancelled. Same Pro feature set as Pro Monthly at a lower effective cost.

Billing and auto-renewal

Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. PostMint does not handle your payment information directly.

How to cancel

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your iPhone: open the Settings app, tap your name at the top, tap Subscriptions, select PostMint, and tap Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No additional steps are required — the same flow you used to sign up is the same flow used to cancel.

Refunds

All billing is handled by Apple. Refund requests are processed by Apple according to their published refund policy. We cannot issue refunds directly. You can request a refund through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

4. AI-generated content disclaimer

Captions generated by PostMint are AI suggestions. They are not guaranteed to be accurate, appropriate, factually correct, legally compliant, or free from errors. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and deciding whether to post any AI-generated caption. We strongly encourage you to read every caption before posting and to exercise your own judgment.

PostMint is not responsible for any consequences arising from captions you choose to post. This includes but is not limited to: factual inaccuracies, copyright issues, platform policy violations, offensive content produced by the AI, or reputational consequences.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use PostMint to:

  • Generate captions for content that is illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, or violates any applicable law or regulation.
  • Harass, threaten, or impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your identity.
  • Upload photos that contain child sexual abuse material, non- consensual intimate imagery, or content that incites violence.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract the source code or AI prompts powering PostMint.
  • Use automated means (bots, scripts) to circumvent rate limits or the free tier's monthly allowance.

We reserve the right to terminate your access to PostMint Pro features if you violate these rules, with or without notice.

6. Intellectual property

Your content. You retain all rights to the photos you upload to PostMint and to the captions generated on your behalf. We do not claim any ownership or license to use your photos or generated captions for any purpose.

Our content. The PostMint app, its name, logo, marketing website, source code, and all related materials are owned by the PostMint developer and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from these materials without our prior written consent.

7. Limitation of liability

POSTMINT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, POSTMINT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR US $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to PostMint Pro features at any time for violations of these Terms. You may terminate your use of PostMint at any time by uninstalling the app and cancelling any active subscriptions through your Apple ID settings. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be announced in-app and posted to this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of PostMint after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and the United States of America, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of PostMint shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
